After years working in darkrooms, I appreciate the improved quality, eco-friendly, healthy use found with digital. My education and experience was built on large format cameras using tripods, vintage cameras, Leica M3, Speed Graflex 4x5 Press camera with Polaroid back but I've proven I can create a panorama with an oatmeal box and silver foil lens. Today Fstopcafe is my home studio equipped with an Epson 3880.
My primary paper is Epson’s Cold Press Natural. Made from 100% cotton rag and using a cold press production technique, this paper features a textured matte finish. The heavy weight of 340 gsm, thickness of 21 mil, and opacity of 98%, further give this paper the look and feel of a true fine art paper. By omitting optical brightening agents, this media will feature a more natural coloration. Designed for longevity, Cold Press Natural is free of acid, lignin, and chlorine and is pH buffered. I continue experimenting with Hahnemühle and Moab papers
